#Tackling the Heat Challenge in Electronics: Thermalnite® Proves Exceptional Performance Beyond Conventional Limits
Among today’s pressing industrial challenges, heat generation in electronic devices remains one of the most persistent and critical constraints. As electronics become more powerful and the adoption of EVs grows, thermal design now plays a vital role in ensuring product reliability, lifespan, and energy efficiency.
Historically, achieving high thermal conductivity in materials has come at the cost of trade-offs in mechanical strength, lightness, and manufacturability.

Thermalnite®, however, breaks this compromise. Even in small amounts, it significantly boosts both thermal conductivity and the overall mechanical properties of composites:
・Adding just 10% of Thermalnite® to conventional materials increases thermal conductivity up to 10 times, while maintaining flexibility and low weight.
・Even with only a few percent, it can increase mechanical strength by a factor of four, enabling the formation of shapes that were previously difficult to achieve even at thermal conductivities exceeding 10 W/m·K.
・It opens up new possibilities for structural design using injection molding and other manufacturing techniques.
Thermalnite® is compatible with various fillers and resin systems. Its value extends beyond thermal performance — offering multifunctionality and processability that enhance design flexibility and unlock new pathways in product development.

#Mass Production Underway: Advancing from Concept to Practical Implementation
In parallel with rigorous technical validation, U-MAP has systematically addressed concerns around the mass productivity and stable supply of this new material. The company has now completed its transition to the pre-commercial production phase, using a large-scale synthesis furnace to establish a stable production process for Thermalnite®.
U-MAP is now capable of producing several hundred kilograms annually, meeting early market demand with confidence. Plans for production scale-up are also in place to meet the anticipated increase in global demand.
