U-MAP, a venture company from Nagoya University, is the first research group in the world to succeed in the mass synthesis of “Material Aluminum Nitride (AlN) Whiskers”, which are electrically insulating ceramics with a thermal conductivity comparable to metallic aluminum.
Mr. Toru Ujihara, Chairman of the Board of Directors, introduced the high heat dissipation performance of AIN whiskers, which can be used for thermal countermeasures in a wide range of applications such as electronic devices, LEDs, automobiles, and acoustic speakers at the 3rd “Evening Pitch in Nagoya 2017”.
