The “Innovation Leaders Summit 2018”, one of the largest open innovation conferences in Asia, was held by the Innovation Leaders Summit Executive Committee at Toranomon Hills, Tokyo, October 22-24, 2018.

This time, U-MAP was selected as one of the “Top 20 Venture Pitches” and among them, we were awarded the “ILS AWARD 2018 Grand Prix”.

What is ILS?

ILS was established under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), with the aim of creating global innovation by matching the assets of major companies with the ideas and technologies of venture companies. At the 5th ILS held in October 2017, the main business alliance matching program, “Power Matching,” attracted 481 next-generation venture companies and 103 major companies (142 departments) recommended by the 100-member ILS Advisory Board, which is made up mainly of Japanese and foreign VCs, and 2,272 business negotiations were held over the three days.
